Aldersgate United Methodist Church

The construction of the educational wing addition was Phase I of this project and the renovation of the existing classrooms and offices was Phase II, both completed while the facility was occupied. The education wing is a 3‐story, steel frame, classroom and administrative office building, which will be used for day school and Sunday school activities. The exterior of this building is masonry and Dryvit to match the existing church building, with an asphalt roof and an exposed timber walkway outside.

Unsuitable soils on the site posed a major challenge on this project considering the high cost for soil replacement. Miller Brothers worked with the church and Cole and Denny, the Architect, to offer a creative, affordable solution, and continue construction on the project.
